Sichuan Provincial Cancer Hospital is the fourth provincial cancer hospital in the country to establish a pediatric oncology department.
Over the past 28 years, the pediatric oncology department has accumulated extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular tumors and vascular malformations, as well as in preoperative and postoperative chemotherapy for children's malignant tumors, developing standardized treatment protocols.
The diagnosis and treatment of vascular tumors and vascular malformations are the department's specialties, yielding significant results at relatively low costs, which has earned widespread praise from patients and their parents. The department has rich clinical experience treating pediatric tumors such as Wilms tumor, neuroblastoma, osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, intracranial and extracranial germ cell tumors, retinoblastoma, Langerhans cell histiocytosis, Hodgkin lymphoma, and medulloblastoma. Among the children treated for malignant tumors, the oldest is now working.
Outpatient Appointment Process
1. Patient Real-name Appointment
In accordance with the Health Commission's requirement for "appointment before consultation," Sichuan Provincial Cancer Hospital only accepts appointments for outpatient registration in advance and has canceled same-day registration. Patients should visit the hospital according to their appointment time.
2. Obtain an Electronic Health Card
Starting June 1, 2020, Sichuan Provincial Cancer Hospital introduced electronic health cards. After successfully binding the card, patients can make appointments. On the day of consultation, they can go directly to the consultation room and scan the QR code on the electronic health card.
(1) Patients can apply for an electronic health card on the hospital's official website or WeChat public account using their second-generation ID card. They can also use a self-service machine or registration window at the hospital with their ID card. Children must present a household registration book or, for foreign nationals, a passport at the on-site registration window.
(2) The electronic health card can be bound to the mobile phone of the patient or a family member. The same phone can bind up to five different patients' electronic health cards.
3. Appointment Registration
(1) Currently, Sichuan Provincial Cancer Hospital offers appointment avenues including online (hospital website, WeMedical registration website, Health Sichuan website, 114 official website, Sichuan Provincial Medical Insurance website), mobile (hospital WeChat public account, 114 WeChat public account, Sichuan Provincial Medical Insurance, Health Sichuan public account), telephone (Telecom 114, WeMedical 95169), self-service machines, and outpatient registration windows, with options for in-room appointment registration.
(2) Appointment slots open 8 days in advance and are scheduled by time slots. All available slots are distributed across different time periods on the same day, allowing patients to choose their preferred date and time based on their schedule.
(3) Appointment registration must be done under a real name.
Outpatient consultation phone: 028-85420305 (during outpatient hours).
Our outpatient service hours: Weekdays 07:30-17:30, Saturday 08:00-12:00.
Hospital Admission Process
Friendly Reminders:
(1) Patients from other regions must first register for cross-regional medical treatment with their local medical insurance department.
(2) Patients who need reimbursement from Sichuan Provincial Cancer Hospital but have not successfully connected to the network at the time of admission should complete the network connection during their hospital stay. If the medical insurance connection is unsuccessful, please identify the reason and complete the connection procedures at the admission window or ward within three working days.
(3) When transferring from another hospital to Sichuan Provincial Cancer Hospital, patients must discharge and settle accounts with the previous hospital and cannot be hospitalized in two hospitals simultaneously, as this will affect reimbursement for hospitalization costs.
(4) After 17:30 on weekdays, please go to the “Nighttime Registration Office” to complete the admission procedures.
Admission Guidelines
(1) During the hospital stay, please ensure that you and your child abide by the hospital's rules and daily schedule.
(2) Please follow the arrangements of doctors and nurses and avoid unnecessary visits to reduce the risk of cross-infection.
(3) Please carefully listen to the doctors' and nurses' introductions regarding the disease and treatment process, and familiarize yourself with the precautions and medication knowledge. Follow the doctor's instructions to take medication correctly. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to seek help from doctors or nurses.
(4) The ward is a public area; please do not bring valuable items like laptops, cash, and jewelry into the ward. If you need to bring them, please manage them properly to prevent loss.
(5) Please watch over your child and do not leave the ward without permission. If you need to go out for special reasons, you must obtain a leave certificate and exit pass from the doctor and give it to your responsible nurse before leaving the ward. Please pay attention to safety outside the hospital during your absence.
(6) Regarding wristbands: Please check if the name on the wristband is correct. The wristband is your child's only identification during their stay at the hospital, so please wear it on the wrist or ankle as required. If wearing it causes discomfort, please inform your responsible nurse immediately. If it is damaged or lost, please notify the nurse in time and get a new wristband.
