Cervical cancer is a disease caused by malignant cells in the cervix. The cervix, the narrow part at the bottom of the uterus (a pear-shaped hollow organ where the fetus develops), connects the uterus to the vagina (the birth canal). Vaginal cancer develops in the vagina, which is the passage from the cervix to the outside of the body. When a woman gives birth, the baby passes through the vagina (also known as the birth canal) to be born.

The main symptom of cervical and vaginal cancer is vaginal bleeding. In addition to these two cancers, other conditions can also cause vaginal bleeding. Cervical or vaginal cancer in children is often confirmed at an advanced stage.
